Recently, the "Global Virtual Photography Technology Invention Patent Ranking" released by the well-known intellectual property analysis agency (IPRdaily) shows that the proportion of virtual photography-related patent applications from Chinese innovators has exceeded 50%.
According to the list, 52% of virtual shooting-related patent applications came from Chinese innovators, 22% from Japan, and 20% from the United States. Among them, the Chinese company that ranks first in the world has 80 virtual shooting invention patents, far exceeding the 60 patents of the second-place Japanese company. In addition, the third, sixth, seventh and eighth places in the rankings are also Chinese companies. The collective growth in the number of patent applications related to virtual shooting by Chinese companies represents the mainland film and television industry’s continuous exploration and overtaking in the field of virtual shooting.
Zhou Kui, Director of the Research Department of the Network Video Research Center of Communication University of China: There is now a broad consensus in the entire industry on the functional value and future importance of virtual shooting. In fact, in the past two years, domestic virtual shooting-related intellectual property rights have been in an explosive state. There are a large number of such companies actively involved in the upstream and downstream of the entire industry chain, which also presents a very good state of innovation.
During the 12th China Internet Audiovisual Conference, a number of patented technologies "made in China intelligently" have been opened to the film and television industry as infrastructure.
Xu Jia, head of the virtual shooting invention patent publishing company: Our main patents focus on the calibration and management of multiple colors and spatial positioning. In fact, in virtual shooting, the AI lighting we released this time, including our real-time spells, should be the first release and application in the industry, and should be relatively leading internationally.
