DeKr Micro InfoComm2025 launches wireless COB module, LED wireless integration accelerates implementation

On June 11, 2025, the American Audiovisual Display and System Integration Exhibition (InfoComm 2025) kicked off at the Orlando Convention and Exhibition Center. Dekr Micro released the industry's first all-in-one product that applies "millimeter wave wireless connection technology" to COB (Chip-on-Board) packaged LED modules.

The millimeter-wave wireless connection solution exclusively developed by Dekrypton Micro has previously realized wireless data transmission and wireless power supply in LED displays. This time it has been officially extended to the module level, further consolidating its strategic layout of "full-screen wireless", promoting splicing efficiency improvement and terminal form innovation, and bringing more efficient, reliable and flexible solutions to display system integrators and applications.

InfoComm As the largest professional audio-visual and information communication trade exhibition in North America, it is hosted by the Global Audio-Visual and Integrated Experience Association (AVIXA). As the world's largest and most influential professional exhibition for audio-visual buyers and sellers, it is also a world-renowned top event in the fields of professional audio-visual, electronic system integration, lighting and audio, and smart buildings.

DeKrypton Micro has participated in this event for many consecutive years. With core partners— - At the exhibition site (booth number 1221) where the control system manufacturer Xi'an Nova Nebula jointly participated, a 108-inch display screen exhibited by Dekr Micro demonstrated the application of this solution, attracting a large number of visitors to stop: it no longer relies on traditional cables and connectors for signal or power supply connections, and the modules are connected wirelessly, "instantaneously connected, ready to use".

“In the past COB module applications, cable connection has always been a key factor restricting efficiency and reliability - the assembly process is cumbersome, the connectors are fragile, and the structure is heavy. Especially in small spacing and integration scenarios, these problems are further amplified. "Li Cheng, founder and general manager of Dekrypton Microelectronics, introduced on the spot, "This time, we have opened up the last section of 'wired' on the module side, truly realizing full-link wirelessization from the system to the module, providing stronger support for COB small-pitch products in the direction of ultra-narrow bezels, thinness, lightness, and integration. The most important thing is that the stability of the system has also been improved simultaneously. This is not only an optimization of product form, but also an exploration of a new connection logic for the entire industry. ”

The basis for the implementation of this wireless connection solution is that millimeter wave wireless connection chips independently developed by Dekrypton Micro are installed at the above connection locations. This is also the first millimeter-wave wireless connection chip in China. It has been shipped in batches in the latest products of core customers in the LED display field, including the chip DK1668 (SPI + RGB + FLASH) used between the Hub board and the module, and the chip DKT1678/DKT1679 (SPI+ LVDS & Et) used between the cabinet and the cabinet. hernet)/MKT157xES, and the chip MDK167xHL used between screens.

Industry insiders who attended the meeting said they were very optimistic about the "clean and neat" wireless COB module. The addition of this product gives Dekrypton's micro-millimeter wave wireless connection solution a more competitive advantage. “From an industrial perspective, COB modules originally represented the development direction of display technology towards high density and high consistency. , and the addition of millimeter wave wireless connection technology just solves its long-term pain points in structural complexity, assembly difficulty, and operation and maintenance costs. As the display market evolves towards integration, high customization and intelligence, the implementation of this wireless connection COB module is expected to accelerate the large-scale application of wireless technology in core scenarios such as small spacing, special-shaped splicing and intelligent assembly. ”

In addition to the first wireless COB module, DeKr micro millimeter wave The wireless connection solution continues to be optimized and is now compatible with a variety of mainstream transmission protocols including SPI, Ethernet, LVDS, HDMI, USB, and RGB, and has good system adaptability and deployment flexibility. In terms of reliability, the module has been continuously run and tested for more than 7,000 hours with zero errors, demonstrating excellent stable performance. The overall module solution has also passed EMI Class A & B certification, meeting the high standards of electromagnetic interference control in commercial displays and industrial scenarios, further ensuring the safety and reliability of system-level integration. In terms of cost, with the evolution and integration of chip processes, as well as the superposition of Moore's Law and the scale effect, it is expected that the cost of core chips will drop significantly in the next 1-3 years, bringing a cost-effective advantage that far exceeds that of traditional physical connectors.
