It is reported that many citizens have previously reported that some areas of Inventors Square are dimly lit and have poor visibility when walking or exercising at night, which not only affects the leisure experience, but also poses certain safety risks. After receiving citizens' appeals, the Municipal Utilities Service Center attached great importance to it and immediately organized staff to go to the site for investigation, comprehensively investigate the lighting blind spots, and quickly formulate a scientific and reasonable rectification plan based on the actual layout of the square and the needs of citizens

During the construction process, the construction team overcame practical difficulties such as tight time and limited operating conditions, optimized the construction process, and officially started the lighting improvement project on May 15. After two consecutive days of intense work, on the evening of May 17, all 8 9-meter-high street lamps in the West Plaza and 12 spotlights in the East Plaza were installed and turned on successfully. The soft lines and sufficient brightness effectively improve the overall illumination of the square at night, and the originally dark areas become bright and transparent, which greatly improves the lighting conditions for citizens to travel, walk, exercise and other activities at night. “In the past, when I walked in the square at night, the area near the flower bed was very dark, so I had to walk carefully. Now that street lights and spotlights have been installed, the entire square is bright, and I feel very at ease. Aunt Zhang, a citizen who was walking in the square, said with a smile. She and her husband come to the square every night for activities. After the lighting is improved, the leisure experience is much better. In order to further eliminate the blind spots of lighting in the square and continue to improve the lighting quality, the Municipal Utilities Service Center has simultaneously started follow-up optimization work. In the near future, 50 additional solar lights will be installed in areas with weak lighting coverage of the square.Garden lights provide full coverage and no blind spots in the square at night, making citizens’ nighttime activities safer and more comfortable.
