JDI Mohara factory officially sold

On September 30, Japan Display Company announced that its Mohara factory will be transferred to semiconductor packaging manufacturer Shinko Electric Industries, and the asset delivery is expected to be completed by the end of March 2027.

Historical data shows that JDI’s Mohara factory previously mainly produced sixth-generation small-size LCD and OLED panels. Among them, OLED panel production for Apple Watch will continue until the second half of 2025; as the factory officially ceases production in November 2025, JDI will move all production capacity to the Ishikawa factory and comprehensively promote the "BEYOND DISPLAY" strategy - transforming from traditional panel manufacturing to sensor and semiconductor packaging.
