Leiyu Optoelectronics obtained a patent for a Micro-LED microdisplay chip and its preparation method

On May 13, the State Intellectual Property Office announced the micro LED patent of Leiyu Optoelectronics. The patent is for a MicroLED microdisplay chip and its preparation method. The time to apply for a patent is January 3, 2025. The inventors are Zhang Xu; Zhuang Yongzhang; Feng Yilin; Zhang Nao.


According to the announcement, the present invention discloses a MicroLED microdisplay chip and a preparation method thereof, and relates to the field of microdisplay technology. The chip includes: a driving panel; a plurality of LED units; and a wavelength conversion layer. The wavelength conversion layer at least includes a plurality of first wavelength conversion units, and the first wavelength conversion unit is arranged above the light exit surface of the LED unit; the first wavelength conversion unit has a first curved surface, and the first wavelength conversion unit is used to convert the first color light emitted by the LED unit into the second color light and gather the second color light. In the embodiment of the present application, the wavelength conversion layer in the MicroLED microdisplay chip has two functions at the same time, specifically including the function of converting the first color light emitted by the LED unit into other color lights. It includes the function of gathering the converted color light, which not only improves the display brightness of the MicroLED microdisplay chip, but also makes the MicroLED microdisplay chip thinner and the preparation process simpler.
