Times Huaying HeyLED movie screen lands in Hungary

On October 9, Times China Film and its partners completed the installation of the country’s first HeyLED movie screen at the Kultik Csepel Cinema in Budapest, Hungary.

Kultik is one of the major cinema brands in Hungary. The HeyLED screen used this time is 9 meters wide and is a self-luminous display device. Different from traditional projection, LED movie screens emit light independently through each pixel, providing higher brightness and contrast, which can improve black performance and 3D image ghosting problems, and enhance viewing clarity and immersion.
Kultik said that based on its previous experience in Romanian cinemas, it is optimistic about the potential of this technology in local applications. The theater plans to use HeyLED to play movies such as "Tron: God of War" and "Avatar 3D".
It is reported that the HeyLED screen has a contrast ratio of up to 60,000:1, a peak brightness of 88fL (about 300nit), supports 120fps high frame rate display, and is suitable for movies, game demonstrations, live broadcasts and multi-functional activities. This feature allows the theater to serve as a diverse entertainment and commercial venue.
This project is part of HeyLED's global layout. Previously, HeyLED movie screens have deployed LED movie screens in many places in Asia, the United States, Europe and the Middle East, and related projects are continuing to advance in Europe, Canada, the Middle East and Asia.
Among them, in May 2024, HeyLThe ED movie screen was put into use at the VOX Cinema in Dubai, United Arab Emirates; in July 2024, Europe's first HeyLED movie screen was officially unveiled at Inspire Cinema in Romania. The theater uses the HeyLED 2K 10-meter LED movie screen that has passed the Hollywood DCI certification.
The arrival of HeyLED movie screen in Hungary marks the further expansion of this technology in the European market.
