On October 17, China Microwave Corporation held a groundbreaking ceremony in Chengdu High-tech Zone, announcing the official start of construction of its Chengdu R&D and production base and southwest headquarters project. The project aims to enhance the company's R&D strength and large-scale production capabilities, and further consolidate its market position in the field of high-end semiconductor equipment.

According to reports, the first phase of the project covers an area of about 50 acres, with a construction area of about 70,000 square meters, and is planned to be completed and put into operation in 2027. The base will integrate R&D and manufacturing, focusing on the development of high-end semiconductor manufacturing equipment such as thin film deposition equipment. As the project construction progresses, the company's future total plant area will reach 750,000 square meters, providing guarantee for research and development and production.
Since its establishment in 2004, China Microelectronics has been engaged in the R&D and production of high-end micro-processing equipment, including key equipment such as plasma etching, chemical film deposition, and measurement and testing.
The company achieved operating income of 4.961 billion yuan in the first half of 2025, a year-on-year increase of 43.9%; R&D investment during the same period reached 1.492 billion yuan, accounting for approximately 30.07% of operating income.
