Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, deploys smart ecological light poles: they can generate electricity, provide Wi-Fi, and bring benefits to the city

No municipal budget was used for this project, and the light poles were installed and deployed by Project Vision
AI at its own expense. This arrangement allows the city to evaluate the actual effectiveness of the technology in real-world applications. If the pilot project achieves positive results, the relevant technology is expected to be promoted and applied in other regions of Kyrgyzstan.
One of the core values of the project is the modernization of urban infrastructure without the need for large-scale investments in energy systems. Smart light poles can generate their own electricity, thereby reducing grid load and enhancing infrastructure resilience. Such light poles help save electricity consumption and enable more efficient use of resources.

Each light pole can provide up to 20 functions, covering lighting, Wi-Fi, digital displays for news and traffic information, electric vehicle charging piles and smart sensors. As a result, a single light pole can assume the functions of multiple independent facilities in urban infrastructure.
The project pays special attention to safety issues. The built-in AI cameras and sensors can respond immediately to abnormal situations and capture collision sounds or crowd behavior. Sudden changes occur and relevant information is quickly transmitted to emergency services. This mechanism significantly improves response speed in critical situations.
In the field of transportation, smart sensors can analyze road conditions in real time, help drivers find free parking spaces faster, and assist in the dispatch and management of traffic lights. It is estimated that this feature can reduce urban traffic congestion by up to 30%.

According to the developer, this type of light pole can be used as a carrier for telecommunications equipment carrying platforms and 5G infrastructure construction, which not only has practical value, but can also bring benefits to municipal budgets.
The environmental significance of the project cannot be ignored - through the introduction of renewable energy, the load on the energy system can be reduced, and carbon dioxide emissions are also reduced accordingly, helping to create a cleaner urban environment.
Neighboring countries such as Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan have shown strong interest in this technology, but the pilot project was first launched in Kyrgyzstan, making it a unique demonstration not only in the country but also in the entire Eurasian region. If the project is successful, it is expected to attract tourists and investors and accelerate the capital's digitalization process. If the effect Good, the project team plans to expand the smart light pole network along the main streets of Bishkek and further promote it nationwide.
At present, Bishkek has completed the deployment of 8 smart light poles, showing the public that street lights can not only be lighting tools, but also become an important part of new urban infrastructure oriented towards convenience, safety and sustainable development.
