"Chancheng Release" news shows that on June 9, Foshan Zenxin Semiconductor Co., Ltd. successfully bid for an industrial land of about 20 acres in Nanzhuang Town, Chancheng District, Foshan City, for the construction of a high-end laser chip manufacturing base project. The project has officially landed in Nanzhuang High-end Precision Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park, with an estimated total investment of more than 1 billion yuan and a total construction area of ​​approximately 27,000 square meters.

According to reports, the investors of this project have been deeply involved in the field of chip manufacturing and epitaxial processes for a long time. The core team comes from companies in related industries such as wafer foundry and has experience in mass production of optical chips. The company has achieved stable mass production of 6-inch wafer production lines, and its products cover application directions such as lidar, 3D sensing, AI communications, and intelligent connected cars.

This project mainly focuses on the high-end laser chip manufacturing process, which is a key upstream link in the optoelectronics and semiconductor industry chain. It will help fill the regional industrial gap in the optical chip manufacturing process and promote the extension of the local semiconductor industry chain to the direction of design, manufacturing, packaging, testing and application. This project is also the first implemented project since the establishment of Chancheng Pilot Fund

The Nanzhuang High-end Precision Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park where the project is located focuses on industries such as electronic modules, intelligent sensing, chip design and packaging, and precision instruments.
