Focusing on indium phosphide, Keyou Semiconductor plans to join forces with Russian companies to enter the AI ​​optical module supply chain

On August 17, according to Keyou Semiconductor, the company team recently went to Russia to carry out in-depth technical exchanges and cooperation negotiations, and reached a consensus with RIMST and EZAN to carry out in-depth joint research and development on the indium phosphide crystal growth process.

Keyou Semiconductor stated that through in-depth dialogue, the three parties have established a clear path and goal for cooperation:

1. Short-term industrialization cooperation: Keyou Semiconductor will introduce RIMST’s existing mature small-size InP crystal preparation technology to achieve industrialization in China and quickly introduce the fast-growing artificial intelligence optical module supply chain system.

2. Mid- to long-term joint research and development: Keyou Semiconductor will join hands with EZAN to develop larger-sized InP crystal growth equipment and continue to promote technology iteration and process innovation.

It is reported that Keyou Semiconductor focuses on the research and development of third-generation semiconductor equipment, substrate production, device design, and transformation of scientific research results. The research and development covers semiconductor equipment development, crystal growth technology, substrate processing and other fields;

RIMST is a materials science research institute located in Zelenograd, Moscow. It was once the core R&D base of the Soviet microelectronics industry and has decades of experience in the field of indium phosphide crystal growth; EZAN is a well-known Russian crystal growth equipment manufacturing company.
