Holding 70% of the shares, BOE Huacan’s new company has settled in Zhangjiagang

On August 3, BOE Huacan Optoelectronics announced that Suzhou BOE Crystal Core Technology Co., Ltd. has completed its industrial and commercial registration and officially settled in Zhangjiagang Economic Development Zone. The company has a registered capital of 700 million yuan, with BOE Huacan Optoelectronics holding 70% of the shares. The project plans a total investment of approximately 970 million yuan, focusing on new high-end display fields such as MLED. Previously, the company had laid out a local LED epitaxial chip base.

Hongli Zhihui joins hands with AI Association to promote LED+AI integration

On August 11, Hongli Zhihui signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Shenzhen Artificial Intelligence Industry Association. The two parties will cooperate around the integration of LED semiconductors and AI, focusing on promoting intelligent manufacturing, technology incubation and industrial ecological construction. At the same time, Hongli Zhihui continues to deploy Mini/Micro LED, automotive lighting and overseas markets to further expand its LED business.

With an investment of nearly 1.8 billion, Tuojing Technology’s Shenyang base was capped

On August 10, Tuojing Technology’s Shenyang high-end semiconductor equipment industrialization base completed the capping of its main structure. The total investment in the project is nearly 1.8 billion yuan, and it is expected to be put into operation in 2028. After completion, the maximum annual production capacity will exceed 1,000 units. Tuojing Technology products have been used in fields such as logic chips, memory chips, power devices, Micro OLED, Micro LED and silicon light.

Lijing Innovation IPOs in Hong Kong, Micro LED production line is in operation

On August 12, Lijing Innovation submitted its main board listing application to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. The prospectus shows that the company's high-precision sensing module production line for Micro LED light sources in 2026 has been officially put into operation. With this listing, Lijing Innovation plans to use the funds for precision optical product research and development, intelligent manufacturing upgrades and industrial chain investment.

TRANSSION POVA 8 Pro 5G is released, with 177 Mini LEDs embedded in the back

Recently, TECNO, a subsidiary of Transsion, launched the POVA 8 Pro 5G smartphone. The back of the phone is equipped with an Alive Matrix Display based on Mini LED. It is composed of 177 independently controlled LED lamp beads and can present different lighting effects for more than 49 scenarios such as incoming calls, messages, and games.

Fujian’s “15th Five-Year Plan” focuses on new displays and optical communications

Recently, Fujian Province released its “15th Five-Year Plan” emerging industries and future industrial development plan, which lists new displays and optoelectronic components as key tracks. In terms of new displays, the focus will be on Mini/Micro LED microdisplay chips, and the deployment of quantum dot, laser display and other technologies; in terms of optoelectronic components, 800G/1.6T optical modules, CPO, optical communication chips and silicon photonic integrated chips will be developed to further improve the industrial layout.

Zhongji InnoLight’s subsidiary invested in Pengding Holdings

On the evening of August 11, Pengding Holdings disclosed its 2026 semi-annual report. As of June 30, InnoLight Investment, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Zhongji InnoLight, held 24 million shares of Pengding Holdings, accounting for 1.04% of the total share capital, making it the fourth largest shareholder. Based on the closing price on August 11, the value of the stock holdings is approximately 2.32 billion yuan.

Overseas crowdfunding of XGIMI Micro LED AR glasses exceeded 6.75 million yuan

On August 8, MemoMind, the AI hardware brand of Jimi Technology, announced that its first smart glasses, MemoMind One, had started overseas crowdfunding, and the amount of funds raised has exceeded US$1 million. The product is equipped with a dual-channel green Micro LED display with a peak brightness of 2,000 nits, and supports AI functions such as real-time translation, navigation, and meeting minutes.

Ruixian Technology joins hands with Deepin to develop 0.23-inch Micro OLED full-color AR glasses

On August 12, Ruixian Technology and Deepin reached a strategic cooperation. The two parties will jointly develop full-color AR smart glasses based on 0.23-inch Micro OLED displays, and plan to launch related products in succession in 2026. This cooperation will focus on promoting 6,000-12,000 nits high-brightness Micro OLED display modules and lightweight array optical waveguide solutions.

Ynzhan Optoelectronics’ D1025 array optical waveguide is ready for mass production and is compatible with Micro LED optical machines

Recently, Ynzhan Optoelectronics announced that its Chanyi series D1025 two-dimensional array optical waveguide has completed full-process verification and process finalization, and is capable of mass production delivery. This product is designed for consumer-grade AR glasses, with a 25° field of view design, a thickness of 0.95mm, and a single piece weight of approximately 4.1g. It is compatible with mainstream micro-display opto-mechanical solutions such as LCOS and Micro LED.

Total investment exceeds 200 million, Goertek Weifang XR intelligent manufacturing project approved

Recently, Shandong Weifang High-tech Industrial Development Zone issued an environmental impact assessment announcement, and Weifang Goertek Electronics Co., Ltd.’s artificial intelligence-empowered XR product full-scenario intelligent manufacturing technology research and application project was approved. The project has a total investment of 205 million yuan and plans to add 803 sets of equipment. After completion, it will have an annual production capacity of 5.5 million sets of smart wearable and acoustic products and 1 million sets of molds.
