From June 9th to 12th, the 31st Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition was held at the China Import and Export Fair Complex. This exhibition brings together more than 2,800 lighting companies from 18 countries and regions around the world, covering 21 exhibition halls with an exhibition area of 210,000 square meters.
Based on the latest technology products at this Guangya Exhibition and in-depth exchanges with enterprises on-site, LEDinside observed that the LED lighting industry has shown five major development trends:
Trend 1: AI lighting ecology has moved from "passive response" to "active thinking"
The penetration of AI artificial intelligence technology in the lighting field continues to deepen. In the past two years, the rapid maturity of large language models and IoT technology has brought opportunities for change to the lighting industry. From early voice control to today's autonomous perception and intelligent decision-making, AI is reshaping the core competitiveness of lighting products.
At the same time, the continued promotion of smart cities and green buildings by national policies, as well as consumers' pursuit of personalized and healthy light environments, have jointly accelerated the implementation of this trend. For lighting companies, embracing AI has become the inevitable direction for the development of lighting companies.
Therefore, at this Guangya Exhibition, AI lighting has become the focus of many companies’ displays, and the Guangya Exhibition has also set up an independent pavilion for the theme of AI lighting ecology for the first time. Various signs indicate that the concept of the integration of AI and lighting is being further explored by the LED lighting industry, allowing smart lighting to move from simple functional superposition to a stage of deep reconstruction.
For indoor scenes such as homes and offices, Foshan Lighting brought a variety of AI smart lighting related products and solutions to this exhibition.
Among them, the AI smart night light is jointly created by Foshan Lighting and JD Lighting. The product integrates AI voice interaction, infinite dimming and color adjustment, and 30-minute sleep aid timing functions, covering bedroom resting, desktop working, outdoor camping and other scenarios. Taking this opportunity, Foshan Lighting has also officially joined JD.com’s JoyInside Lighting Partner Ecological Alliance, and both parties will jointly build an intelligent lighting ecosystem.

In the field of lighting for the elderly, Foshan Lighting has innovatively launched the "Light Health + AI Monitoring" system, which relieves visual fatigue through the age-friendly spectrum and integrates non-sensory protection functions such as falls and heart rate monitoring.

Facing complex energy management such as enterprise and industrial-level large-scale lighting, Sidon Lighting demonstrated its IES smart energy management platform, which takes lighting as the entry point and energy management as the core, and deeply integrates hardware smart installation, data analysis, platform scheduling and AI decision-making full-link capabilities. Through the collaborative management and control of smart air conditioners for multiple categories of equipment such as lighting, air conditioners, water pumps, elevators and instruments, energy prediction analysis and energy saving optimization can be achieved.

In response to the demand for road lighting, Maple Sun Life launched the first exclusive AI intelligent agent in the urban lighting industry, breaking the inherent mode of passively receiving instructions in traditional urban lighting, giving urban lighting a "brain", and realizing multi-functional integration of lighting, data, operation and maintenance, emergency response, and energy storage.

Sanxiong Aurora also demonstrated smart street lighting product solutions. In the outdoor urban landscape area where Hongmeng technology is applied, Sanxiong Aurora takes "AI intelligent control + Hongmeng technology application" as the core. Through intelligent light pole models, AI street light management and control, and intelligent operation and maintenance visualization systems, it achieves fault early warning, energy consumption analysis, and remote operation and maintenance, demonstrating one-stop intelligent lighting solutions for urban landscapes and roads.

For plant lighting applications, Hongrui Optoelectronics demonstrated an AI plant lighting system. With the core concept of "intelligent brain center", the system achieves all-element perception through an integrated sensor network of temperature, light, water, air and fertilizer, and gathers data in real time with the help of edge computing gateways.

The system uses digital twin technology to construct a virtual mapping of greenhouses and plant factories to realize environmental parameter previews and planting process optimization. It also supports dual-platform collaboration on the Web and mobile terminals, and can conduct remote centralized management and control of multiple bases. In actual operation, the system forms intelligent light control decisions through environmental monitoring and growth period identification, combined with spectral library matching and comprehensive environmental assessment models, and ultimately realizes a full-link AI closed loop from data collection, analysis, decision-making to execution.
Facing the increasingly AI-intelligent plant lighting industry, upstream light sources are also launching the latest plant lighting LEDs accordingly. For example, Jinko Electronics continues to deepen technological innovation on the "LED + smart agriculture" product path, allowing plants to accurately obtain the required light through spectrum matching optimization and control system integration.
Recently, Jinko Electronics launched the White 3030 F series of high-performance LED light sources, with a typical radiation power of 130mW, a photon flux of 0.6 μmol/s, and a maximum photon quantum efficiency of 3.5 μmol/J. The product can still maintain more than 90% of the initial photon number after 50,000 hours of continuous operation, providing a high-performance, cost-effective light source solution for large-scale agricultural lighting systems.
