Samsung Display is building a pilot factory for Micro LED for watches

According to Korean media reports, Samsung Display is building a Micro LED pilot production line in the A2 Park in Asan, South Korea. Related transfer, bonding and other equipment are expected to be introduced within the year, and the possibility of mass production in the second half of next year is being explored. Samsung Display has launched related projects in 2023 and demonstrated a 2.1-inch Micro LED watch prototype. Chip suppliers include Sanan Optoelectronics.
