Samsung OLED factory initially determined to move equipment in July 2028

On September 17, according to industry news, the first batch of move-in time for Samsung Display’s A7 production equipment has been tentatively scheduled for the second week of July 2028.

According to reports, A7 is another large-scale OLED factory that Samsung Display has invested 650 billion won in building after the 8th generation OLED factory. The factory is located in Lot A1 in District 2 of Asan Display Park, South Korea, with a total construction area of 746,000 square meters and a scale ranging from 1 underground floor to 15 floors above ground. The overall construction period will last from September 2026 to July 2028.

In view of the long time required for project administrative licensing, Samsung Display has signed an initial contract of 55 billion won during the selection process of the construction unit. After the subsequent construction scope is determined, the overall construction cost will be finalized through an additional contract.
