Volkswagen launches MicroLED AR smart cycling glasses

Recently, Volkswagen and high-end electric bicycle brand n+ Bikes launched AR smart cycling glasses, introducing HUD technology originally used in the aviation and automotive fields into smart cycling scenarios.

This product is equipped with a Sony Micro LED display with a resolution of 640×400 pixels and a brightness of over 5,000 nits. It can project navigation, vehicle speed, blind spot warning and other information directly into the rider's field of vision, reducing the safety risks caused by lowering the head to view the device.

As part of the mass smart cycling ecosystem, the glasses can be linked to smart electric bicycles and smart helmets. Through the vehicle's rear radar system, the glasses can send out prompts when it detects that the rear vehicle is approaching or entering the blind spot; the smart helmet can identify collision situations through sensors and trigger the emergency notification function.
