The Hong Kong Smart Lighting Expo and Spring Lantern Festival have successfully concluded, attracting about 13000 global buyers. The industry holds a positive attitude towards future sales

On April 23, 2026, the 3rd Smart Lighting Expo and the 17th Hong Kong International Spring Lighting Fair (Spring Lighting Fair), organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), successfully concluded today at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The four-day exhibition gathers about 900 exhibitors and attracts about 13000 buyers from 114 countries and regions to visit and purchase, including Malaysia and the Philippines from Asia; The number of buyers in France, Germany, the Netherlands, Russia and Türkiye in Europe, as well as in the North and South American markets such as Brazil, Canada and the United States, has increased, again demonstrating Hong Kong's pivotal role in global lighting products and technology exchanges.


This year's two lantern exhibitions not only attracted many leading companies in the industry to participate, bringing cutting-edge high-performance, intelligent lighting, and sustainable solutions products and solutions, but also successfully gathered many international high-quality buyers to purchase, assisting companies in promoting supply chain diversification and exploring new markets, highlighting Hong Kong's advantages as an 'international exhibition capital' and efficient business platform. It is the preferred destination for the industry to showcase innovation strength, connect global buyer networks, and accelerate business expansion


Survey shows that respondents are mainly optimistic about the Indian and Australian markets

To keep up with the latest industry trends, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council conducted an on-site questionnaire survey during the exhibition, interviewing 450 exhibitors and buyers. The results reflect a general increase in confidence among exhibitors and buyers regarding future business trends.


The key points of market outlook and product trends are as follows:

49.1% of respondents expect overall sales to increase in the next 12 to 24 months, while 47.6% expect it to remain stable.

The respondents believe that the growth prospects of lighting products in the following target sales markets in the next two years are ideal and very ideal: India (73.4%), Australia (71%), ASEAN countries (70.4%), and Japan (68.1%).

In terms of market potential, the markets that the most interviewed exhibitors are trying to explore are the Middle East (31.8%) and Europe

(29.5%), ASEAN countries (23.9%), Latin America (17.6%), and North America (14.8%).
