Korean media: TCL Mini LED TV plans to enter the Korean high-end market
Recently, South Korean media reported that TCL is expanding its layout in the South Korean television market, challenging the high-end television market dominated by Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics. It is reported that TCL has completed the radio wave certification of new TV products such as X11L, C8L, C7L, P7L at the National Radio Research Institute in South Korea, and it is expected that the products will be launched gradually from April.
Among them, TCL's flagship model X11L is equipped with the next generation SQD (Super Quantum Dot) Mini LED technology, which applies efficient quantum dot optical design in the Mini LED backlight structure to improve color purity and brightness efficiency. This product can achieve 100% full scene wide color gamut under the BT.2020 standard, supporting up to 20736 precision controlled light zones and a brightness of up to 10000 nits.
In addition, the X11L model features an ultra-thin design and frameless design of approximately 2 centimeters, and is equipped with an audio system tuned by Bang&Olufsen. TCL plans to be the first to launch 85 inch large screen products in South Korea, including this model and a 4K RGB Mini LED TV.
The high-end series C8L covers products ranging from 65 inches to 98 inches to meet all needs from medium to large TVs. The C8L is also equipped with SQD technology, but it is reported that its pricing is basically the same as the C8K series launched last year. In addition, the mid-range model C7L and the popular model P7L have also completed multiple size coverage.
On the other hand, South Korean media pointed out that currently in the high-end TV market, Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics still maintain their advantages and adopt a dual track development strategy. On the one hand, they consolidate their leading position in high-end product technology represented by OLED, and on the other hand, they actively defend the mid to high price markets such as LCD.
It is reported that Samsung Electronics plans to maintain its advantage in the ultra large and high-end markets through a 130 inch Micro RGB TV, while LG Electronics will strengthen its product lineup for Mini LED TVs through Micro RGB evo
South Korean media predicts that 2026 will become a watershed in the competitive landscape of the South Korean television market. With the improvement of TCL's brand image and technological strength, this year TCL will compete comprehensively with Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics in the high-end TV market in South Korea.
