"Guangzhou Zengcheng Release" news, on March 26, Micron Corporation won an industrial land in the core area of Zengcheng Economic and Technological Development Zone and announced plans to invest 3 billion yuan in the long term to build the company's South China headquarters and product R&D and production base, targeting large flat panel display equipment, and will extend to other large flat panel micro-processing technologies, such as smart glass, board-level packaging and other emerging fields.
The total planning of this project is 130 acres, of which 50 acres are planned for the first phase. The total investment for the first phase is about 1 billion yuan. It is planned to start construction in the first half of this year, and the annual output value will be no less than 1 billion yuan after reaching capacity.

Data show that China Microelectronics Corporation mainly operates high-end semiconductor and pan-semiconductor equipment such as plasma etching equipment, thin film equipment, and MOCVD equipment. The performance report shows that the company's operating income will reach 9.065 billion yuan in 2024, of which MOCVD equipment sales will be approximately 379 million yuan, LPCVD equipment will achieve the first sales, and annual equipment sales will be approximately 156 million yuan.
As for the reasons for the revenue growth, AMEC stated that etching equipment and thin film equipment are key core equipment in the semiconductor front-end. , the market space is vast and technical barriers are high. The application of the company's products in key chip manufacturing processes continues to expand, customer recognition continues to increase, and the shipment volume and sales of high-end products have increased significantly.
In 2024, the cumulative shipments of AMEC's LPCVD thin film equipment will exceed 100 reaction units, and multiple new equipment have received repeated orders. In addition, EPI equipment has entered the mass production verification stage, MOCVD equipment has made progress in the fields of Micro LED and high-end display, and accelerated the layout of the silicon carbide and gallium nitride power device market.
In terms of project promotion, on September 6, 2024, Nanchang China Microelectronics Co., Ltd. signed a MOCVD equipment development project for GaAs-based red and yellow LED applications. The research and development results will be given priority for the industrialization needs of Micro LED. At present, the production and R&D bases of 140,000 square meters in Nanchang and 180,000 square meters in Shanghai Lingang have been put into use.
In January this year, AMEC also announced that it planned to invest 3.05 billion yuan to establish a wholly-owned subsidiary, AMEC Semiconductor Equipment (Chengdu) Co., Ltd., to promote the construction of its southwest headquarters and R&D and production base to expand the business scope of integrated circuit equipment and increase Strong technical research and development capabilities.
